Plant Identification Workshops

At this workshop, our instructor will guide you through the art of plant identification, focusing on both native and non-native local plants in British Columbia. As an experienced herbalist and certified nutritionist, Alicia will help equip you with skills to identify various plant species and decipher the language of plant identification using common plant key guidebooks. This workshop is recommended as a preparation for our in-person foraging workshops that take place in the spring/summer.

Prior knowledge is not necessary for this workshop. It is ideal for beginners interested in botany, plant identification, foraging, and herbal medicine, and is suitable for nutritionists, herbalists, plant enthusiasts, and nature enthusiasts.

Foraging Workshops

We offer foraging workshops to educate people about sustainable foraging practices and survival skills. We teach participants how to identify, harvest, and prepare wild plants found in their local environment. The workshops cater to beginners and cover topics such as wild plant identification, sustainable foraging practices, and culinary uses of wild foods. We are committed to promoting ethical and safe foraging practices. Through our workshops, we hope to inspire a deeper connection with nature and provide participants with the skills to sustainably use natural resources.
